Strolling through the streets of the town, you will notice two washing houses, one in the centre of Fountain Street and the other in the hamlet of Le Lièvre, along the former RN 12, Chemin du Lavoir.

Visible from the banks of the river Sauceron. Private.

WASHING HOUSES

During a walk, you will notice two washing houses: one on the road to Tacoignières and the other in the hamlet of l’Arnière.

U-shaped and located near the "Maison Blanche", its three pools are surrounded by a wooden frame roof with double slope. Dated from the 19th century.

This washing house is located near the chapel.

WASHING HOUSE

Dating from 1843, it was restored in 1993. Located near the farm of the commandery, it is supplied by a source the flow of which is equal throughout the year.

The path of les Lavandières and the rue de la Croix de Saulx allow access to the source and to the two ancient communal washing houses: the washing house of Les Fontaines (Fontaine Honnins)- become a municipal washing house by decision dated July 11, 1847 - and the large communal washing house.

ROMAN BRIDGE

Dating from the 15th century, this bridge with only one arch, crosses the Flexanville towards Prunay-le-temple.
